| Abstract: | Dansk beskrivelse:
Description
This scientific papers aim is to uncover the mindsets of the Danish Traditionalists. In the light of a few longer interviews with Jesper Langballe and Herik Gade Jensen, two national-oriented debaters, it is being described how the Traditionalist are positioning the individual in a late-modern society. The individual is by the use of the late-modern theorists, Anthony Giddens’ and Zygmunt Bauman’s thoughts, being put up against the choice between producing its own identity and thereby finding security in the possibility of producing its own identity through a series of late-modern choices, or to take the tradition on it self as a unconscious and secure cloak, which no one calls in question.
The conclusion being reached in this scientific paper is that the tradition is made of an unchangeable core which is beyond dispute. This core is the tradition and contains the history, the genus and the nationalism. |
