En tværvidenskabelig vurdering af indføringen af stenmel som økologisk gødning i Danmark

Abstract

Projektet omhandler den økologiske gødningsform stenmel, der består af pulveriserede bjergarter. Der foretages en vurdering af muligheden for at integrere stenmel som økologisk gødning i Danmark. Projektets naturvidenskabelige del analyserer, om der kan dokumenteres en gødningseffekt for stenmel og om stenmel er anvendelig i forhold til danske forhold. Den samfundsvidenskabelige del vurderer, hvilken viden, der har ligget til grund for landbrugets nuværende gødningsforbrug. Endvidere diskuteres, hvilken vidensudvikling, der har bevirket, at stenmel blev marginaliseret fra både den konventionelle og økologiske gødningsdebat. Der konkluderes, at stenmel er anvendelig som gødning, og har potentiale inden for både det konventionelle og økologiske landbrug i Danmark. English Summary: This thesis discusses rock dusts as organic fertilizer. Rock dusts are rocks ground to a very fine dust. The purpose of the thesis is to assess the possibility for implementation of rock dusts as organic fertilizer in Denmark. The thesis divides into parts of natural and social sciences. The first part discusses the effects of rock dusts as fertilizer and assesses if rock dust are relevant for Danish soils. The second part analyzes how a certain development of knowledge has taken part in forming the current state of agriculture’s use of fertilizer. Other than that the social part concerns the marginalization of rock dusts from common agricultural use, both conventional and organic systems. The thesis concludes that rock dusts are indeed usable as fertilizer and has potential in Danish organic and conventional agriculture.
