This project investigates the urban planning of the new Ørestad-town of Copenhagen from a hermeneutic angle. Both planning and discourse theory will be brough to use. By help from chosen theories we will put the urban planning in a critical perspective. The project is base don qualitative data. Several features from different approaches to planning can be seen, However there there is a strong emphasis on the rational and positivst approach. It is being discussed if the urban planning is taking place in the best possible manner. The conclusion is that the current approach could benefit from elements from other urban planning theories. |
